About Lake Ridge Chorus:
Our chorus was founded in 1975 by our director emeritus, Jean Knight, and our chapter was chartered in 1976. Over the years, we have produced and appeared in 26 annual variety shows, our first one being November 3, 1978 at Stocker Center, Lorain Community College, with the guest quartet, The Adeline Sweeties, in addition to an appearance by the Elyria Cascade Chordsmen, directed by Rod Nixon. A lot has happened since that time, and we are proud to have featured numerous award winning guest quartets like the Sounds of Music (1974 Sweet Adeline International Queens of Harmony), Melody -N-Motion (1980 Region #17 Sweet Adeline Quartet Champions), the Interstate Rivals (1987 International Barbershop Champions), and, most recently, Four Voices (2002 International Barbershop Champions), to mention just a few.
We, the members of Lake Ridge Chorus, continue to enjoy the special camaraderie of singing together in the barbershop style, and look forward to many more years of entertaining audiences and of competitions as we strive to be the BEST Sweet Adelines chorus in the world!
