Well, what would a contest be without it's share of problems?! Our first suite (on floor 9) was less than sweet with no tables or chairs set up for us. What, we do fantastic and are rewarded with manual labor? And there's a hole in the floor where the toilet should be? (If only I had the forthought to get a picture of that one!)
Plus see that lamp? Yep - the only one in the whole room. So our coach Linda goes off to scavenge a floor lamp for us, while we try to get a new room....
How was suite number 2? Full of other people!
Linda somehow caught up with us on the 10th floor- lamp in tow ( that I am pretty sure came from floor 13)! We are shocked security didn't come after her!! After much radio-ing between hotel personnel, we are off to check out suite number 3 - on the 20th floor - but not after taking a very cramped ride (with the lamp, of course) on the service elevator.
And here it is! Suite number 3 on the 20th floor! Dirty, but it has furniture and we can eat (finally)!! Mavis shares her story on overhearing one of the hotel staff telling the desk "They need a room... and they're HUNGRY!" And as for the lamp? You bet it's there with us! (the one with the crooked shade)

When some of our members come back to their room, they have quite a surprise awaiting them... a bathroom where the ceiling ended up on the floor!
